At 720 kWh production and 60% self-use, annual value falls to about $118 and payback approaches 18 years. At 1,000 kWh and 80% self-use, value is about $202 and payback near 10.4 years. These ranges are more honest than one precise forecast.
Improve the case without hiding costs
Delay-start laundry raises self-use, while a cheaper approved rack lowers capital cost. A $2,000 battery is unlikely to pay from this small export volume. The household should compare payback with residence plans and warranties, then update the model after twelve months of measured production.
Build the decision from local facts
